To respond, Oliver Wyman assisted in several key development efforts: devising a modern manufacturing plan, realigning the business in product families, designing focused factories, developing quality control procedures, and restructuring the response capability for customer technical problems. In addition to increasing customer service quality to secure the company's position, the effort reduced production costs by 18.4 percent.
