State-operated: Used MultiRail to analyze rapid-delivery and postal services
Operation plan development: For a large state-operated European railroad, Oliver Wyman assisted in the development of a full “base case” operating plan using our proprietary MultiRail software. We then examined dozens of incremental improvement scenarios based on improved blocking, more efficient trains, and better use of resources. Twenty-two of the improvement packages were delivered to the railroad’s management, which identified over €20 million in annual savings.
