Claudio Lago de Lanzós is a Partner at Oliver Wyman based in Singapore. He heads the Corporate & Institutional Banking and Wealth & Asset Management practices in Asia.

During his long tenure at Oliver Wyman he has worked with numerous wholesale banks, wealth managers and market infrastructure providers across strategic topics. He has worked globally across clients in Europe, Latin America and Asia.

  • Cross-BU synergies: For the CEO of one of the largest European banks, analyzed potential cross-business unit synergies with a special focus on IB synergies with other units, not only in Europe but also in LatAm
  • Next growth stage in Corporate and Investment banking for a leading European domestic bank: for the Head of the Corporate/Investment bank developed the 3 year strategic plan to move to the next level, including how to leverage the strong retail franchise
  • Corporate Derivatives organizational model: For the head of the IB of one of the European leading banks, analyzed current set-up of the Corporate derivatives business and defined a new organizational model across key geographies

Education, training and relevant affiliations

Claudio holds a degree in Business Administration and a degree in Law, both from ICADE University of Madrid. He became a CFA Charter holder in 2007. He is also the co-author of the Oliver Wyman-Morgan Stanley joint report “Outlook for Wholesale and Investment Banking 2010”
