Marco Bon is a Partner in the Dubai office with over 13 years of industry and consulting experience. He has expertise in pricing design, customer value management, commercial strategy and financial and business modelling. Marco holds a graduate degree in business administration from EAESP - Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Brazil. Marco is native in Portuguese, fluent in English and has working knowledge of Spanish.

Paul Calvey

Paul Calvey is a Partner with over 10 years financial consulting experience. He leads coverage of our South African and Sub Saharan clients, as well as working closely with market infrastructure players across Middle East and Africa. Key areas of focus include corporate strategy, banking, insurance, wealth management, exchanges and post trade. Paul previously worked with Morgan Stanley in London in their equities business after graduating from the London School of Economics. Paul is a regular speaker at conferences and has led a number of reports on emerging markets and market infrastructure opportunities.

Antonio Carvalho

Communications, Media and Technology and Public Sector, CEO of TICG


Antonio Carvalho has 21 years of international experience in investment banking, private equity and management consulting. Since 2006 Antonio has been based in the Middle East, consulting on the telecommunications & technology sector as well as in the public sector. Antonio is currently serving as CEO of TICG – Tri International Consulting Group – a joint venture between KIA, Kuwait Fund and Oliver Wyman – to serve the Kuwait market. His recent experience includes 4 years on the investment committee of a Private Equity Fund in the GCC region and on the board of several portfolio companies. Previously, Antonio worked as a senior executive for a large telecom multinational. His career started in investment banking at Deutsche Bank and BES Lisbon. His areas of expertise are Strategy setting, Business & Financial Planning, Operations roll-out and Transformational programs. Antonio holds a degree in Economics from the UCP in Portugal and Univ. Carlos III in Madrid. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish and has working knowledge of French.

Adonis Chami

Communications, Media and Technology


Adonis Chami is a Partner at Oliver Wyman. Over his 9 years of experience, he has managed projects in 11 countries, focusing mainly on the Telecommunication industry. Key areas of focus are: commercial strategy, big data and corporate finance. Adonis received his BS in physiology and minor in business management from McGill University, with distinction. He holds an MBA degree from INSEAD. He is fluent in English and Arabic and possesses basic knowledge of French.

Luis Cirne

Communications, Media and Technology


Luis Cirne has over 15 years of consulting experience, having also held executive positions with various ICT players and worked as direct advisor to Board members of key European telco groups.

His principal expertise covers Strategy, Marketing, Network, Corporate Finance and Organisational Design. He has worked in Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa for both wireline and wireless operators.

Luis has an MBA (Honors) from Columbia University in New York City and a degree in Economics. He speaks English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese.

Matthieu De Clercq

Public Sector


Matthieu De Clercq is a Partner in our Dubai Office. He has more than 15 years of consulting experience, and has worked in the Middle East/GCC for 8 years, focusing on Economic and Industrial City Development and Strategy.

Matthieu holds a combined architect and civil engineer master degree and holds an MBA from SADE, Barcelona. He is proficient in French, English and Spanish and has some good knowledge of Dutch.

Pierre De Mascarel

Pierre De Mascarel is a Partner in the Dubai office and has been living and working in the Middle East as a consultant for over 15 years. He co-leads the digital practice in the Middle East. Pierre has gained extensive experience in Saudi Arabia and the GCC, where he drove transformation programs for large private institutions and government entities. He has specific knowledge in economic development (Free zones, economic cities), regulatory reforms (for the telecom industry in particular) and strategic investment (Private Equity firms).

Pierre holds a Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and a Masters of Science in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris (France). He is fluent in English and French.

Laurent Guerry

Laurent Guerry is a Partner at Oliver Wyman. Over his 20 years of experience, he has managed numerous projects for 50+ clients in various industries and 30+ countries. Key areas of focus are: operations and procurement costs improvement programs, supplier relationship management and innovation, and related operating model transformation and capability building. Laurent worked previously as a Financial analyst for an international bank, and as an internal operations improvement consultant for one of the largest food company. Laurent has graduated from the French business school EDHEC. He is fluent in English, French and Italian. Laurent is one of lead authors of the Oliver Wyman’s Procurement Playbook, and is a regular speaker in procurement related events.

Greg Rung

Financial Services


Greg Rung is a Partner at Oliver Wyman. Over his 20 years of experience, he has managed 200+ projects. Key areas of focus are: banking, insurance, asset management, and sectoral competitiveness. Greg was previously with the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) where he managed equity investments and conducted advisory activities. Prior to this, he served for 3 years as a member of the Executive Committee of OSEO (now Public Investment Bank), a French institution related to the Ministry of Finance. Greg has graduated from the London School of Economics, HEC Paris and the University of Chicago. He is fluent in English, Spanish and French. Greg is a regular speaker at industry conferences and has written articles on emerging markets in leading publications.

Saji Sam

Energy


Saji Sam is a Partner with Oliver Wyman’s Global Energy Practice based in the Dubai office. He has close to 20 years of work experience in the Energy sector, both in Management Consulting and in various leadership positions with Schlumberger. His expertise covers upstream E&P, downstream refining and petrochemicals, and power. Saji’s clients include NOCs, IOCs, and governments across the Middle East, Africa, India, China, and Australia, where he has advised industry leaders on strategy, organization and operational challenges. Saji holds an MBA from ISB, an associate school of Wharton and Kellogg, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai.

Raji Souag is a Partner in Oliver Wyman’s Corporate & Institutional Banking Practice. Over the past 11 years he has worked closely with major private and public sector financial institutions in Europe, North America and the Middle East on strategy and transformation topics. Raji is based in Dubai where he focuses primarily on advising banks, central banks and asset owners/ managers, notably regional family offices, asset managers and private equity firms as well as sovereign wealth funds globally. Raji was previously based in London and worked with many of the top global investment banks and regional commercial banks. He graduated from the Imperial College London with an MSc in Chemistry and is fluent in both English and Arabic. Raji is a regular speaker at industry conferences.

Energy


Dr. Volker Weber is a Partner in our Energy & Manufacturing Practice. He has more than 18 years of strategy consulting experience across a broad range of industries with focus on Energy in Europe and the Middle East. His areas of expertise are strategy, organization and large transformation assignments.

Volker has lived and worked in the Middle East since 2006 and was a founding member of The Boston Consulting Group’s GCC offices.

Volker holds Masters in Engineering and Economics at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and completed his Dissertation in Engineering with highest honors "summa cum laude" (Dr.-Ing.) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). He is fluent in English and German.

Jeff Youssef

Jeff Youssef has nearly 20 years of operational and consulting experience holding senior management positions in leading international companies across several countries. He specialises in the Public Sector and Media Sector, and has had hands-on experience in government reform and corporate turnarounds. He is also General Manager of Tri International Consulting Group (TICG), Oliver Wyman’s JV with the Kuwait Investment Authority. Jeff holds an MBA from London Business School and a Masters in Engineering and Computer Science from Oxford University. He is fluent in English and Portuguese.

Abdulkarim Alyousef

Public Sector


Abdulkarim is a partner in Oliver Wyman’s public sector practice. In a career that spans over 12 years, he has advised several regional and international private and public enterprises on a wide range of topics. His areas of expertise include strategy development, institutional reform, organizational design, performance management, process improvement and change management. His responsibilities also include recruitment in Saudi Arabia where he is playing an important role in hand picking and nurturing Saudi national talent to leverage their global experience as the Kingdom undertakes its economic and social reforms Abdulkarim has an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and Bachelor in Engineering from New Mexico State University.

Abhishek Sharma

A Partner in Oliver Wyman’s MEA Public Sector practice, Abhishek Sharma joined Oliver Wyman in 2007 after a stint in the high-tech industry. He has worked with public and private sector players extensively across the MEA region. His work spans national economic development topics including focus on employment, quantified economic analysis and government performance, as well as cross border deals and portfolio management. Abhishek has engineering degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Stanford University; and an MBA from the Indian School of Business.

Michael Wette

Transport and Services


Michael Wette leads Oliver Wyman’s Transport and Services practice in the MEA region. Over the past twenty years, Michael has been a consultant for global aviation players on their strategic planning, network & fleet management as well as numerous commercial topics, and a particular spin around broad-based restructuring. In the Middle East, he was in charge of large turnaround programs for major middle eastern airlines and hotels. In Dubai, Michael aims to extend Oliver Wyman’s T&S Strategy by developing a targeted regional project base in the T&S segment / Aviation sector across relevant GCC markets. Michael holds a business diploma from WHU Koblenz, during his studies he also visited Texas A&M and Sup de Co de Grenoble.

Pierre Romagny

Retail & Business Banking


Pierre Romagny is a Partner in Oliver Wyman’s Retail and Business Banking practice. He previously worked for a British multinational bank, the International Labour Organisation and the French cooperation in Southern Africa. He specializes in bank transformation, new business builds, digital and performance management and is part of our Africa team. He graduated from Sussex University with a BA in Economics with Development Studies and from Reading University with an MSc in Development Project: Management and Implementation.

Ibrahim Ghoul

Public Policy


Ibrahim Ghoul is a partner in Oliver Wyman’s Public Policy practice. Ibrahim has worked for a major Canadian bank and a global software and database firm. His specialty is at the intersection of public policy and financial services and he is the lead for Oliver Wyman’s Public Policy practice in the Middle East. He has an MBA from INSEAD and a BEng in Aerospace Engineering from McGill University, Montreal.
