Michael Poulos
Michael Poulos is a Partner based in the firm’s headquarters in New York City. He is the Head of Oliver Wyman - Financial Services in the Americas and a member of the firm’s global Management Committee. In that role, he oversees a team of 400 staff, serving clients in the US, Canada and Latin America.
With the firm since 1993, Michael has served senior executives at some of the largest and most sophisticated banks, insurers and private equity houses around the world on issues of M&A, business strategy, finance and risk management, and operational implementation. His work has ranged across industry sectors from commercial banking, capital markets, and insurance. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, the author of thought pieces on a wide array of topics, and is regularly quoted in the press on industry issues.
Michael holds a B.S. in Economics, Magna Cum Laude, with concentrations in Finance and Political Science from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Joseph Wharton Scholar.
