Oliver Wyman Releases 2017 Social Impact Report

New York… March 19, 2018…Oliver Wyman released its third annual social impact report today highlighting the company’s firms contributions during the past year as well as various social impact projects. The entire report can be viewed here.

Highlights from the Oliver Wyman Social Impact report include: 

  • Oliver Wyman worked on 86 social impact projects across a variety of sectors such as education, health, social inclusion, and social finance. This represents a significant increase (104%) in the number of social impacts projects the firm executed globally in 2017 compared to 2016. Consulting services were provided to organizations such as the Australian Chamber Orchestra (Sydney), Junior Achievement (Africa), Asylum Access (San Francisco) and Visionfund (Singapore). 

  • Employees at the firm donated more money ($700,000) and committed more volunteer hours (30,107) than ever before. 

  • Oliver Wyman Consultants are offered the chance to go on a Nonprofit Fellowship. In this report we feature two stories by Cybil Zhang at Technoserve in Zambia and Karim Bechir at Think Equal in Sri Lanka. All consultants have the opportunity to apply to work at a nonprofit of their choice for up to six months once they have been with Oliver Wyman for one year. 

The report also features four thought pieces written by Oliver Wyman partners focused on a range of topics including impact investing, health, reducing financial stress in nonprofits, and increasing engagement and insights via digital technologies.
