Oliver Wyman Announces Kai Bender as New Market Leader for Germany and Austria

Munich – Oliver Wyman announced today that Dr. Kai Bender will be the new Market Leader for Germany and Austria effective July 1, 2018.
Bender will be responsible for the business in Germany and Austria. He will focus on the expansion of the consulting business with an emphasis on digital transformation and the increasing brand awareness.
Currently the head of the German and Austrian Digital & IT Practice, Bender helped to establish the Berlin office. He succeeds Finja Carolin Kütz, who held the position since 2015 and will join UniCredit as Group Chief Transformation Officer in October 2018.
Born in Frankfurt, Bender has been a member of Oliver Wyman's worldwide partner team since 2009. A graduate in business informatics and with a doctorate in computer science, he is regarded as a proven digitization expert and has cross-industry experience in the definition of IT strategies and in the management of large IT implementation projects. His customers include companies from the energy supply, automotive, logistics and financial services sectors.

In the last two years, Bender has been fundamentally involved in integrating numerous acquisitions of Oliver Wyman into the German digitization business. These include the software specialist LShift, the digital transformation agency Draw and the design thinking company 8works.
