Het Financieele Dagblad: The Impact Of A No-Deal Brexit

The Dutch financial newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad reported on the impact of a no-deal Brexit on the EU27, the UK and the Netherlands.  

In particular, the article highlights our reports The Netherlands’ Red Tape Costs of Brexit and The Red Tape Cost of Brexit.

Our findings show that in a post-Brexit world, the Netherlands is likely to face additional trade costs of €4.5 billion every year.

In addition, around 70% of the costs for the EU27 and for the UK will be shouldered by five industry sectors. For the EU27 this is automotive; agriculture, food & drinks; chemicals & plastics; consumer goods, and industrials.  For the UK this is financial services; automotive; agriculture, food & drink; consumer goods; and chemicals & plastics.
