Bloomberg: Thomas Schnarr On State Of German Banks

Oliver Wyman partner, Thomas Schnarr, was quoted in a story titled, “Number of German Banks Declines While Fintechs Attack,” by Bloomberg.

The article explores the fall in the number of savings and cooperative banks and the possible reasons for the decline. According to Schnarr, “one of the main reasons for the closure of many branches is the increasing digitization and new customer requirements. Especially small units may lack sufficient critical mass to adapt to the new environment.”
