Oliver Wyman Boosts its Public Policy Offering by Appointing Lars Frisell as Senior Policy Expert

London, 13 January 2017. Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lars Frisell as a Senior Policy Expert to its Public Policy Practice. Based in London, the former director and advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland will be working on topics ranging from financial stability and recovery and resolution challenges, to conduct supervision and financial sector authorities efficiency and effectiveness in EMEA.

Lars Frisell joined the Central Bank of Ireland in 2012 as Chief Economist and Director of Economics and Financial Stability. He has also worked as an expert and consultant for the International Monetary Fund. Lars was Chief Economist at the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority where he established a new macro-prudential department and was a member of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, contributing to its work on Basel 3. Prior to this, he held various positions at the Swedish Riksbank, including that of Deputy Director of Financial Stability.
Mr. Frisell holds a PhD in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics, a M.Sc. in Mathematical Methods from Northwestern University, and a Major in International Business from HEC Paris.
