Oliver Wyman Named to 2016 Working Mother “100 Best Companies”

New York, September 27, 2016—Working Mother magazine today recognized Oliver Wyman as one of the 2016 “Working Mother 100 Best Companies” for its outstanding leadership in creating progressive programs for its work force, in the areas of advancement of women, flexibility, child care and paid parental leave. The 100 Best Companies are featured in the October/November issue of Working Mother and on workingmother.com.

“We are honored to be acknowledged by Working Mother magazine,” said Scott McDonald, CEO of Oliver Wyman Group.  “We have worked hard to create an inclusive culture around the globe and this recognition is a testament to the strong policies and programs we have in place that promote the advancement of women and work-life balance for all employees.”

Among the programs cited for excellence were the firm’s generous leave policies in the US and the ongoing investment in advancement programs such as the firm’s formal sponsorship program, Inspiring Leaders, which is designed to provide women with greater clarity and support on the path to partnership at Oliver Wyman.

Nicky Dingemans, Oliver Wyman’s Chief Human Capital Officer, added “There is nothing more important than our people and we want to keep our top talent while also attracting the best people to work at Oliver Wyman.  We are dedicated to make sure our employees can be their true selves at work and achieve success personally and professionally.”

Jennifer Owens, Editorial Director of Working Mother Media, says, “For 31 years, Working Mother has tracked the progress of companies that lead in creating a supportive workplace for America’s families. Now more than ever, with changing family dynamics, parental benefits are a key weapon in the war for talent. These companies aim to create the culture that attract the best talent.”

Subha Barry, Vice President, General Manager, Working Mother Media, says, “This year’s class of winning companies goes the extra mile to support working moms and all diverse families. In 2016, fully paid leave offerings have grown to an average of 9 weeks, up from 8 last year.
