Jean Coumaros is a Partner at Oliver Wyman and the head of Retail & Business Banking for EMEA.
During his 12 years of consulting experience Jean Coumaros has worked with a number of universal banks and credit monoliners all over Europe on most challenges related to growth and business effectiveness (market entry strategy, strategic partnerships, business development, customer value management, product innovation, sales effectiveness…). He joined the firm in 2000 after 5 years in the Financial Services Global Market team of Gemini Consulting. Prior to consulting Jean Coumaros worked 2 years in Argentina and Australia as a Credit Analyst for Banque Nationale de Paris.
Jean Coumaros was the lead author of Oliver Wyman's recent report "Consumer Finance in Europe: Riding the Wave". He was a speaker in many European conferences and is frequently consulted by European or country authorities on the topic of Consumer Finance.
Jean Coumaros graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP-EAP) and is fluent in French (mother tongue), English, Spanish and Italian.
