Product development optimization - Finding the right balance between speed-to-market and product quality.

For a US cable MSO we designed and tested next-generation TV search and discovery concepts, to determine which products, features, and functionalities consumers really value and define a product development plan. We worked closely with the client team to design the new product concepts, complete with a UI and a description of the key benefits and functionality. We then conducted a quantitative online consumer test that clearly identified which new concepts should be developed to meet the highest priority customer TV search and discovery needs.

We helped an Asian domestic insurer find the right balance between speed-to-market and product quality in their product development process. This included: a product portfolio management process that focused product investments in the highest value-adding areas; a revised approach to managing the product runway, including new organization and governance; and a series of tools to help measure and optimize product portfolio value.
