Davide Taliente
Europe
Davide Taliente is Managing Partner, Europe, for Oliver Wyman, providing leadership to the firm’s industry practices and capabilities in this region. Before assuming this role in 2012, Davide established Oliver Wyman’s Public Policy Practice in Europe. In that capacity, he advised individual jurisdictions and supranational bodies on financial services regulatory reform, reform of the financial services sector, strengthening of supervision agencies, resolution strategies, powers and capabilities, competition policy under state aid, and policies to stimulate access to finance. He has worked with the Troika in three European countries receiving financial support.
Davide joined the firm in 1990 and was elected Partner in 1996. Within Financial Services, Davide has served as Global Head of the Corporate & Institutional Banking practice, Head of the EMEA region, and Head of the India practice. Davide was a member of the core drafting group of the IIF’s Special Committee for Effective Regulation, and of the Implementation Advisory Group for the UK Chancellor tasked with restructuring the UK financial services regulatory and supervisory model. He has advised the Prince’s Trust on financial inclusion. Davide has been published in International Finance Review, and was named one of the Top 25 management consultants globally by Consulting Magazine.
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Davide worked at JP Morgan Investment Management and with the European Commission.
Davide holds an MPhil degree in Economics and a BA in Physics from Oxford University. He is fluent in English, French, Italian, and Spanish. He has a special interest in the political economy of Ancient Rome and the Italian futurists, and his sports are tennis and salmon fishing.
