Angelina holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Oxford University.  She manages projects in the Financial Services track.

I applied for a position at Oliver Wyman after a friend told me about the special culture and the firm’s commitment to a work/life balance. After I had talked to a few consultants during my first interviews I felt that these were the people I wanted to be with, and I knew I wanted the job.

So far, every project has taken me to a different country, and since joining I have spent a lot of time in Australasia. I love the places I am sent to, the new cultures I meet and all the new experiences I have. Because I enjoy faraway places so much, I was truly excited when the firm approved my transfer from the Frankfurt office to the Singapore office. Very early in my career, I have found credit risk to be an exciting topic and have been able to specialize very quickly. The firm keeps surprising me with the growth opportunities it provides – I found myself leading a client team within less than one year after I joined and I gave my first presentation to a banking CEO only half a year later.

My favourite project was a five-week engagement in Australia where we reviewed the way the bank sets aside money for bad loans. The client team was lovely, the work was exciting, and the weekends were among the best of my life: I met Aborigines at Ayer’s rock, dived the Great Barrier Reef and climbed Sydney Harbour bridge.

What I value most about my career here is the tremendous growth opportunity, the interesting topics we work on, and the unique traveling opportunities. I also value that I have time to read and meditate, to exercise regularly and attend language classes – even on weekdays.
