Your Career

Providing innovative opportunities for our people to

learn and grow every step of their career.

We are committed to nurturing and developing colleagues early in their careers. We offer our consultants as much responsibility as they can handle and provide ongoing training to accelerate career development.

In fact, we've intentionally removed many of the barriers that, in more traditional firms, slow the pace at which an able individual can assume responsibility. Because we believe that you can learn just as much, if not more, on the job than in the classroom, an advanced degree is not a prerequisite for promotion to Partner. In both of our primary career tracks – Financial Services Management Consulting and General Management Consulting – many of those who came to us straight from university are now Partners. That's because we emphasize a six- to nine-year Partner path as opposed to a two or three year analyst program. Those with previous industry or consulting experience are expected to progress even more quickly into the partnership.

We recognize that by supporting the professional and personal goals and interests of our people, the entire organization benefits. Your life is not all about your work at Oliver Wyman, nor should it be. That's why we offer innovative alternatives for work and life beyond the firm that include sabbaticals, externships, Non-Profit Fellowships and part-time work programs.

WE ASSIGN THE BEST PEOPLE TO CLIENT PROJECTS,
no matter where they happen.

We care about two things when we assign consultants to cases: serving the client to the best of our ability, and helping you develop as rapidly as you can.

That means that you'll be considered for cases around the world, regardless of which office you join. Offices in more than 50 cities worldwide means your exposure to different markets and cultures will be frequent and in-depth.
