Global Sales of Heavy Trucks

Les Echos (26 January) quoted Matthieu Sarrat in an article about global sales of heavy trucks, which OW predicts will rise by an annual rate of 4.4% through 2018. The OW study found that, over the same time frame, China sales will increase 2.7% annually, the other "BRIC" countries (Brazil, Russia, India) sales will increase 5.1% annually, and developed countries (North America, European Union, Japan, Korea) sales will increase 6.1% annually. Matthieu says: "An important part of global growth will come from Western countries. It is mainly a catch-up effect of these markets after the effects of the 2009 crisis."
