The current financial crisis is creating renewed interest in offshoring, While the current focus is on balance sheet health and pure survival, it is clear that at some stage financial institutions will shift their attention to competitive positioning again. With less of a push for product innovation than in the past, we expect greater drive for cost management and streamlining of operational processes. Both of these are creating an impetus for increased offshoring.
