Launching next-generation operator. Oliver Wyman supported a new operator in setting up a company and preparing for the launch of fixed and mobile services. We helped our client design a “blank-sheet” entry strategy and then worked to help start up operations. Key areas of collaboration included product design, pricing, distribution and sales, branding, business processes, service design and implementation, business planning, and customer operations. The operator's commercial launch was a success, capturing an initial customer base comparable to less than 5% of the startups worldwide during the previous five years.
