Tom Knighton
For more than 20 years, Tom Knighton has been a pioneer in helping companies equip their leaders to create and implement strategy, drive strategic change, improve market effectiveness, and increase customer loyalty.
As a consultant to senior executives in many of the world's leading corporation, Tom has helped clients build the leadership capacity and capability needed to compete in challenging business environments, design high-performing orgations, and implement customer-centric strategies to improve top-and bottom-line performance.
Among Tom's clients client are Bank of America, The Walt Disney Company, American Express, CIBC, Citi, Lucent Technologies, Experian, Allstate, Underwriters Laboratories, and BP.
Tom's background includes consulting and corporate management in domestic and international markets, and working with companies in both the manufacturing and service sectors. He has held positions in marketing, sales, training and development, and human-resource management.
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman Leadership Development, Tom was Executive Vice President of the global learning organization The Forum Corporation. During his 16 years at Forum, Tom led their change management, leadership development, and customer experience management practices. He served on Forum's executive team for more than 10 years.
Tom is a frequent speaker and is regularly quoted in business publications such as Fortune, Human Resources Executive Directorship, and Fast Company. He recently authored an article in CLO magazine entitled, "Wanted, Critical Leaders with the Right Stuff," which highlights the business impact leadership development efforts can have when connected to an effective management strategy. He is lead author of the groundbreaking book Managing the Customer Experience.
Tom holds a BA in Behavioral Science from Wheaton College in Illinois. His graduate work include coursework in Organizational Behavior and Strategy at Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Business and Executive Education at Stanford and Harvard Universities.
